Yoshinkan Aikido & Shinto Muso Ryu Aiki

Dynamic and complete martial art designed to provide  sophisticated self defence, physical fitness, improved confidence & concentration. Modern Aikido as developed by Morihei Ueshiba (known as O'Sensei - Great Teacher), has its roots in Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu - the art of Sokaku Takeda Sensei.

Aikidos' philosophy and practice is based in battlefield combat yet has become an art totally applicable both to the street  and the legal framework today. Using joint manipulations, locks & restraints,  takedowns, throws, strikes and sophisticated strategy, Aikido will develop character and control while maximising safety in todays world.

Gradings are available to adults and teens in the form of Dan and Kyu levels commencing at 9th Kyu and advancing to Shodan (first degree black belt) and beyond. Aikido is genuinely an art that offers decades of challenging study and practice that will help maintain a healthy mind, body and spirit.

Classes available to Adults and Juniors over 6 years.
